Join us for another enchanting Royal Afternoon Tea - our signature five-course experience where every bite is thoughtfully matched with the perfect steep.  Hosted in the elegant front room of Aixois, this event celebrates the warmth and comfort of winter through rich, seasonal flavors and a curated selection of teas from Tea Market, just a short stroll down the block.
 
Each course has been crafted to showcase the cozy, comforting tastes of the season, and each tea is hand-selected to complement and enhance its pairing:
 
First Course: Dried Cherry Scone with butter and cherry preserves
  Paired with Decaf Raspberry Aronia
Second Course: Winter vegetable soup in savory beef broth
  Paired with White Mountain
Third Course: mini crab cake slider on a soft roll w/ lettuce & spicy aioli
  Paired with Breathe Easy
Fourth Course: Classic Quiche Lorraine
  Paired with Darjeeling
Fifth Course: Chocolate Mousse w/ whipped cream & a raspberry           Paired with Berry Fusion
 
The opportunity to partner with Aixois French Restaurant brings together the art of fine dining and the ritual of tea.  We’ll gather in their beautifully appointed front room - reserved exclusively for our event - to savor the exquisite dishes prepared by Chef Emmanuel Langlade, one of Kansas City’s most beloved chefs.
 
As each course and tea are presented, Stacie will share stories about each blend - how it enhances the dish, where it comes from, and how to steep it perfectly at home.  You’ll receive a sample of each tea to recreate your own cozy tea ritual long after the event.
 
Guests will also enjoy 10% off their entire purchase at Tea Market the day of the event - perfect for stocking up on winter favorites or gifting to fellow tea lovers.
 
Now for the “royal” touch - tradition calls for a sparkling adult beverage to elevate the occasion. You’ll have the option to add a glass of Brut Champagne, available for purchase through Aixois, because winter celebrations deserve a little extra sparkle.
 
Things to know before making your reservation:
The Royal Afternoon Tea includes a set menu for both food and tea pairings.
Individual dietary preferences, allergies, or caffeine substitutions cannot be accommodated.
This event is for guests 18 years and older.
Reservations are prepaid and non-refundable.
Because each menu is prepared in advance for you and seating is limited, cancellations cannot be accepted.
Groups of up to six may reserve together and will be seated together; communal seating may also be part of the experience.
A glass of Brut Champagne may be purchased separately from Aixois for $14.
You’ll take home samples of all five teas featured in the event.
